Working with our design partner Sugar HK, the ribbon was conceived as an abstracted expression of JTC’s role in Singapore – the “Spirit of Transformation”. Its organically sinuous exo-skeletal form is made up of a series of intermeshed structural elements that occur in nature from the macro (expressions of landscape contours and topography) to the micro (cell-like hexagons and vein-like networks, for instance). These make this sculptural icon a metaphor for JTC’s role in building Singapore by enabling industrial growth through the provision of infrastructure.
The Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) needed a lobby exhibition to reinforce its corporate identity and showcase their key innovative projects.
