As one of the premier clubs in Hong Kong, The American Club provides a gathering place for the social, recreational, and business activities of members and their families in a distinctive American atmosphere. The Club has been performing this role since the day it opened on July 6, 1925.
Our exhibition design captured the historical elements of the Club in a modern way through a series of chapters and offers visitors the opportunity to engage with the Club’s history and American culture. Visitors experience “then”, “now”, and the “future” – giving visitors an opportunity to explore life at the Club and its impact on the wider Hong Kong community.
The American Club owns both town and country clubhouses with extensive food and beverage outlets, as well as fitness and recreation facilities, plus other off-site facilities, including The Screaming Eagle, the Club’s new yacht, a private race box in Happy Valley Racecourse, golf debentures and more. The Town Club offers business entertainment in the heart of the city with breathtaking views from its prestigious and convenient location at the top of Two Exchange Square in Central. The Country Club is a world-class haven for the whole family, set on 3.5 lavish acres in beautiful Tai Tam, on the southeastern shore of Hong Kong Island and overlooking the South China Sea. The American Club has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Platinum Clubs® of the World since 2018.
