Centre for Refugees Diversity Hub

Hong Kong

Diversity Hub is a first-of-its-kind community space located at Chungking Mansions in Tsim Sha Tsui, at the heart of one of Hong Kong’s most culturally rich communities.

Project Details

The Centre for Refugees Diversity Hub is Hong Kong’s first and only drop-in community centre for asylum seekers and refugees, providing life changing services for people who are often fleeing war, violence and persecution, who deeply deserve care, recognition, safety and a big welcoming smile

Located at Chungking Mansions, in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, the centre serves over 600 refugees and asylum seekers, each month, providing humanitarian assistance, medical and psycho-social support, emergency response, education, employability training, empowerment and outreach.

Asylum seekers and refugees are welcomed regardless of their race, religion and gender identity, creating an inclusive community by fulfilling humanitarian needs, providing opportunities for the future and empowering our vibrant community to live with dignity and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

The Diversity Hub believes in supporting a culturally-aware population. Tours of Chungking Mansion  and cultural experiences to learn more about refugees, asylum seekers and ethnic minorities in Hong Kong are run regularly.

We were proud to work on a charitable basis with the Centre for Refugees and Christian Action Hong Kong to plan, design and implement a flexible space that is so much more than a museum – it is a platform from which to amplify the sometimes under-represented voices of Hong Kong’s diverse communities.
