The focus of this major milestone was to articulate the values and purposes of HSBC, providing direction for the future through celebration of the past. The bank approached the Hong Kong Maritime Museum (HKMM) to create a 3-month exhibition in their temporary exhibition area, celebrating the evolution of Hong Kong from a fishing village to a world trading hub and major financial centre, and HSBC’s role in this. A workshop was held at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London to brainstorm ideas culminating in a report that fed into the Interpretive Plan.
Our other projects for HSBC include: Archives Gallery, History Wall Tokyo, History Wall Istanbul, Money exhibition, HSBC History Wall Dubai
